On June 8-10, 2023 The Ukrainian American Credit Union Association held its annual meeting and conference in Chicago, Illinois.  The host credit union, Self Reliance Federal Credit Union of Chicago which celebrated its 70^th anniversary, sponsored a Thursday evening meet and greet and helped organize an architecture boat tour on the Chicago River.  Friday featured a day-long conference of industry speakers as well as an afternoon roundtable discussion.  On Saturday, the delegates attended the UACUA annual general meeting  and elections, followed by a guided tour of Chicago’s Ukrainian Village.  Orysia Burdiak who has served as the UACUA President and responsible for managing the administrative aspects of the organization for the past 38 years has announced this year that she is stepping down and retiring.  On behalf of the 123,000 members of the Ukrainian credit unions in the United States, the Board of Directors of the UACUA extends best wishes to Orysia in her retirement.
